BrowserSwap has no account, no tracking, and no idea what you browse. It changes a system setting and goes back to being a small icon. Here’s exactly what that means.

Preferences, schedules, and which browser is default live on your device. There is no account to create and no cloud copy of your setup.
No ad networks, no analytics SDKs, no behavioral profiles. The app has no idea what you browse and no way to tell anyone.
BrowserSwap changes your Mac’s default browser and returns to the menu bar. That’s the whole job.
Nothing about you, and nothing about what you browse. BrowserSwap works without an account, so we never ask for your name, email, or identity to use the app. Your list of installed browsers, primary browser, keyboard shortcuts, and any schedules you create are stored locally on your Mac.
To list browsers, BrowserSwap looks at the applications you’ve installed and which of them are real browsers — not every app that merely volunteers to handle links. It reads and writes the macOS default-browser setting. It does not inspect, log, or transmit the pages you open, the links you click, or the contents of any browser.
The app does not phone home. There is no Pixegen server that receives your preferences, schedules, or browsing. If you download or update BrowserSwap from the Mac App Store, that traffic is between you and Apple, under Apple’s policies — not ours.
If you turn on Launch at Login, macOS starts BrowserSwap when you sign in. That is a system feature on your Mac. We do not receive a signal when you log in, and we do not keep a session on a server.
BrowserSwap does not include third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. If something breaks, the useful report is the one you choose to send us through the contact form.
You can change or clear schedules, hide browser icons, skip the preferences window, or quit the app at any time. Removing BrowserSwap from your Mac removes the local preferences it stored. There is no server-side account for us to delete, because we never created one.
BrowserSwap is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If we update this policy, we’ll revise the date above. Significant changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
